Mentored Learning Test Pass Insurance (for Business)

 New Horizons of Knoxville offers a Test Pass Insurance to business students who take their training through the Mentored Learning delivery method. When a student completes their course and has met the necessary criteria as stated below and if they then take the associated certification exam and fail, New Horizons of Knoxville will pay for one (1) retake of the exam.  In order to qualify for the Test Pass Guarantee, the following criteria must be met and signed off by the mentor prior to taking the certification exam:

1. The exam must be available from MeasureUp and Vue/Prometric to qualify for Test Pass Insurance.

2. Student must be enrolled in the Mentored Learning program.

3. Student must complete all coursework including course lecture, labs, reading, reviews, and assessments that map directly to the exam they wish to take to be eligible for the Test Pass Insurance. This information is tracked through our system and must be signed off on by the mentor for the Test Pass Insurance.

4. Student must take a proctored practice exam in certification mode and pass that practice exam with a score of 90 percent or higher.

5. Once the student passes the practice exam at 90 percent or higher, the student is required to schedule the certification exam within 48 hours. The exam does not have to be taken within 48 hours, but it must be scheduled within that timeframe.

6. The initial exam attempt must occur within 90 calendar days of the first class day, the second attempt must occur within 120 calendar days of the first class day.

7. The mentor has the sole discretion to approve or disapprove a student’s request for Test Pass Insurance based on their observations of the student’s performance and results from course work.
